While admittedly I'm not sure how I feel about olpcnews slowing turning into olpcupcoming with all these event announcements here's one that definitely deserves a lot of attention. In fact if I didn't have tickets to the Mogwai concert in Vienna the night before I would have certainly gone up to Paris myself!

Paris here we come...

The fine folks from OLPC France are holding a CodeCamp in Paris on Saturday, November 15th. Currently the plan is to hold five workshops on the following topics:

  1. Sugar
  2. School server
  3. Mono
  4. Pedagogic usage
  5. French localization
In addition to OLPC France regulars, the distinguished guest list includes Daniel Drake (OLPC ex-intern who also worked on the Ethiopia deployment), Bastien Guerry (one of the key people behind the imminent Haiti deployment) and Torello Querci (Mono specialist from OLPC Italy).

Obviously everyone interested in OLPC, Sugar and the XO laptop is welcome to attend. For more information such as the exact location of the event and other details please see this page (French version).
