OLPC SF community summit

If there is one OLPC event which I really wish I hadn't missed in 2010 then it's the OLPC San Francisco Community Summit 2010. No, and not just because San Francisco's Mayor actually declared October 23, 2010 "One Laptop per Child Day".

But luckily I have another chance this year as the OLPC-SF community announced that the 2011 Summit will be held in late October:

OLPC SF Community Summit 2011 is a community event that brings together educators, technologists, anthropologists, enthusiasts, champions and volunteers. We share stories, exchange ideas, solve problems, foster community and build collaboration around the One Laptop per Child project and its mission worldwide.
Time & Date: Friday, October 21 at 5:00pm - October 23 at 5:00pm
Location: SFSU Downtown Campus, 835 Market St, San Francisco, CA

More details and the program will be posted on the Summit's Web site over the coming weeks and I'd also suggest keeping an eye on OLPC-SF's Facebook page as well as their Twitter and identi.ca feeds. Oh, and if you want a sneak preview of what the summit's t-shirt might look like then you should check out this link on OLPC-SF's mailing list.

No, the reason you were sorry to miss it is that San Francisco is such a great city to eat in!
