Meet an Aspiring OLPCorps Applicant in Ottawa-Gatineau

The resourceful OLPC Canada group in Ottawa-Gatineau has an invitation for those nearby to meet with an aspiring local OLPCorps Africa group and share thoughts and ideas on XO deployments.

This Saturday, Samantha Burton, a MA Mass Communication student at Carleton College and Project Coordinator of Jamii OLPC will be at the Ottawa XO Users Group meeting to talk about their OLPCorps application.

Jamii OLPC is a multi-university, multi-national team applying to OLPCorps this summer. If their application is successful, they will receive funding and 100 XO laptops to deploy to their partner school, Matemwe Primary School, in Zanzibar Tanzania.

Ottawa XO Users Group Meeting
When: Saturday March 21, 2009 - 13:00-15:00 h.
