So I guess the mouse issue happens for everybody then?

Anyway I found some cheat codes on the net. You may know these from other ID soft fps games...
To bring up the game console press the ~ key.

here are some codes you can type...
notarget (enemies won't attack you unless you shoot them first)
god (activates god mode)
noclip (lets you fly and pass through walls)
sv_gravity XXX (where it says XXX type a number, 0 is no gravity 850 is normal gravity)
give all (get all weapons and armour)
give bullets 999 (ammo code)
give shells 999 (ammo code)
give cells 999 (ammo code)
give rockets 999 (ammo code)

Not for me.
You can try to change the mouse speed in the option menu (using the "escape" key).
and also activate "freelook" in the same menu.
that way you use the mouse to aim, and keyboard arrow keys for direction.
hope this helps

I've sometimes thought like a FPS engine like quake could be useful for allowing a user to explore a 3D representation of a real-world location.

For busines users, one obvious application would be for real-estate agents to provide walkthroughs of homes for sale.

For education, the engine could allow users to explore famous buildings or other landmarks that they might not otherwise have an opportunity to visit.

How quickly can Quake levels be created, and how easily can photos of a real location be used as game textures?
