I guess I'll start a thread here for anyone interested in meeting up in Toronto. I posted to the Canada thread, but might as well get specific.

I teach in the school of early childhood education at Ryerson University, and the school can be a base for meetups. There are a few faculty here who have ordered them as well.

I'm not (that much of) a control freak, so if someone else has a need to do it another way, I'm totally willing to just tag along and sit quietly at the back, but I figured I might as well start it off.

I'd like to participate virtually (and maybe IRL next summer) as an ex-Torontonian. I'll be getting two laptops sent to Japan via my brother in Dartmouth. I'll let you know how my two girls (ages six and four) respond to the little green beasties. If they can steal them away from their Dad.

Whenever I'm in TO, I'll be there.  Or if there are others in Ottawa, I'm willing to host an Ottawa satellite  group.  Mostly I just know people here who are waiting to see mine, rather than other people who've ordered it!

I've just bought http://olpcug.org, and it will be up in a couple of hours (without much content). Perhaps we can use it as the blanket Ontario site, and have sub sites for Toronto, Ottawa, Waterloo, and anywhere else. Clevergirl is willing to host an Ottawa satellite and Jason Shim has been backchanneling me on this as well... sounds like a go!
