It took me a while to find this thing so I figured id post it here. If this has already been posted a million times feel free to nuke this.

If you have received your XO laptop but did not get an email about your T-Mobile pin number fear not; it's on the shipping label!

find the box your XO shipped in and on the label there should be a PO: 70000###### number (This number is 10 digits long.)

This is the T-Mobile pin #!

to use go to: http://laptopgiving.org/en/pin.php
click on "click here" in the middle of the page (this will take you to http://64.34.176.239/get_ref.html)
On that page enter in the 10 digit number after the PO: on the label, then the email address you used to order the XO.

You should be able to get to the next page and complete the registration for your free year of T-Mobile access.

Hmm. Mine doesn't work.

Any other suggestions? Or, since I just got it yesterday, could it be that my # isn't activated yet? I haven't received the "Your Laptop is on its way" email yet.

My concern is that T-Mobile may be getting authorization information from OLPC, and unless/until OLPC figures out that your laptop has already been shipped/delivered  , you won't be able to get the T-Mobile service.  Considering other people's reports of dealing with OLPC CS, I was really hoping to avoid having to contact them.

I emailed them on Sunday; haven't heard back yet. As long as I get it activated eventually, that will be fine.

I never would have found this information if not for this post.

Just got my G1G1 laptop yesterday and found your post a few minutes ago.  Luckily I still had the box from yestarday but I followed your instructions and am now good to go.
