I have not used my XO for a while.  I have an XO-1 and I updated both firmware and build to what is current.  As subject line says... I have a Terminal icon in Gnome but it is missing in Sugar.

lists Terminal as preinstalled

It shows the file: Terminal-16.xo (v.10)

From the # prompt, searching with:
find / - name *.xo
in order to see where the .xo files are gets an error:
find: Filesystem loop detected: '/versions/run/852' is part of the same file system loop as '/'.

If I use the command:
yum install Terminal-16.xo
I get the error:
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: fedora. Please verify its path and try again

How do I put the terminal activity back in Sugar along with the icon showing so that I don't have to switch to Gnome to do terminal work?

The terminal activity is there, just NOT in the favorites (circle view).
From the home screen click on list view (upper left icon in menu bar) then click the star in front of "terminal" and going back in the circle view you'll see it there.
