Hello,

Quick question ... Where is the XO1.5 Laptop manufactured/assembled?

If I'm not mistaken  the XO1.0 was made by Quantas in China. But I can't find the info for the 1.5 and I need this urgently.

Quanta is Taiwanese... but they assemble the XO inside China (Peoples Republic of China) correct?

Just to explain my weird questions... My country is about to start an educational project by giving laptops to kids. We have just received and offer for a significant donation with the "catch" that the chosen equipment must come from China. I hope I can use this offer to get XOs, but I have the doubts of where are they actualy manufactured.

Believe its one of the 2 locations in China, but I'm not remembering where (once upon a time I likely found that info on laptop.org, but not seeing it at the moment.

From what I know it's a facility close to Shanghai hence I would think that the XOs are being made in Quanta's Shanghai Manufacture City (from that link in the post above).

Not sure it's the same for the XO 1.5 but the XO 1 serial number told you where it's manufactured: Shanghai or Changsu.

I suspect the the "Product of China" on the label in the battery compartment of every XO that I have seen would be sufficient for some functionary.  But still, a curious requirement.
