Puppylinux for the XO-1 and XO-1.5
anthill:
I'm not sure when or how, it might have something to do with trying to use GTK themes in the JWM configuration tool. What happens is at some point the file /root/.jwmrc-tray gets blanked, set to 0 length. Without this file, the JWM taskbar/tray won't start.
I solved the problem using the same method as the OP I linked to - copy-pasted someone else's .jwmrc-tray file.

One of the nice things of puppy and the layered file systems in general, is that the original files are never changed and always available (just masked).
In puppy they are in the /initrd/pup_ro2/ directory. You can always copy them from there. eg /initrd/pup_ro2/root/.jwmrc-tray

If you have problems accessing this or other "puppylinux for the XOs" threads for discussion/questions/requests you can use the relevant Puppylinux forum thread at: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=60155

I know, this forum is closed but still... :D
Puppy Precise for the XOs is out. ;D
Could be XOpup-3.0 but do not try to update you XOpup-2.x builds with it.
Just start fresh and enjoy Ubuntu Precise 12.04 (LTS) compatibility and puppy speed.
