Any advice on getting Skype  (audio only) to work on  latest build and OFW of XO 1?  I followed  exact instructions, supposedly successfully, at wiki.laptop.org (see below). Then you'll see results of my command "skype" from home directory. No luck.

mavrothal-- You are one heckofa huge Help!  After weeks of trial and error, and being about to delete entire Skype downloads, I type your 3 magic words, and, pronto--SKYPE appears and is alive and kicking.  Many many thanks.
This is such a super xo site. How can one contribute?

Hola!

Yesterday, I used the Yum install of Skype and it gave me 2.1.0.81. That one did not seem to operate properly using my OS 656 XO.

Later I reflashed my XO and used the original 1 version still posted on a Polish website and the voice worked fine! Of course, later in the night it failed to work properly, probably due to Skype servers being overused.
