Just in time for Scratch Day 2010, a beta version of Scratch 1.4 has been posted to the OLPC wiki. Lagging a year behind the PC and Mac versions, this beta not only brings most of the new features of 1.4 to the XO, but has added support for the XO laptop's built-in camera and the file Journal.  Photos taken from within Scratch are saved as one or more costumes for a given sprite at a resolution of 320x240. Photos saved from Record into the Journal can be imported at a resolution of 480x360.

To download, simply visit the link below in the Browse Activity. The beta is a 29mb file, so you'll want to have as much bandwidth as possible.

Alas, support for the Lego WeDo robotics kit, which is available on the other platforms, will not be in Scratch 1.4 for the XO.
