I will say now that neither UNESCO or the Haitian Ministry of Education is around today, like they were back in December. The UN and the ministry of education lost their buildings and staff members.
So, now that the question to "who knows what OLPC is doing in Haiti" is address the point is becoming "yeh, but it will not do it any more. But organization X will find not destroyed schools, officials, support and everything else that OLPC can not, and will do it" !....

Now if you point me to your last of your 600+ post that you had anything constructive/positive to say about OLPC, I would be willing to continue this discussion, if not I think I'll stop here.

So, here's OLPC talking about using 2 organizations that will assess the effectiveness of the OLPC XO.

POOF, should we think all those plans will now be finished, while those organizations have more important priorities, like getting new staff and facilities or should we live in LaLa land and continue thinking these plans will now be accomplished?

Waveplace has locations with leadership, students, AND plans happening today.

The Waveplace website asks for donations of money, but I don't see any mention of donations of XOs.  Also, my XO keyboard has problems.

I used the Contact function that the Waveplace website to ask if they want mine; I will see what the response is.

I didn't get an answer from Waveplace.  I ended up donating my XO to a local organization that helps disabled children.
