Compacting SQLite bases of Sugarized Firefox?

Hi,

The start up time for Sugarized Firefox is getting longer and performance slower.
I have cleared out browsing detritus as much as possible, but that did not help much.

Does anyone know how to Compact the SQLite files Firefox stores?
Does the XO's version of FireFox store it in the old Mork format or in SQLite?
If it is SQLite, could the VACUUM command be used on it?
Code:
$ for i in *.sqlite; do echo "VACUUM;" | sqlite3 $i ; done

Presuming, yes - then some information on downloading SQLite package and using it from the console on the XO would be appreciated.

Note: This is a cross post from forum.laptop.org, since I have no reponses there.
