I like to change Xo into movieXo for only multimedia usage,
so i am going to try and need help from experts to install any tiny mplayer distro..

like geexbox

i have no idea in olpc.fth to boot normal pendrive install

I would look for another type of Mplayer. Try using the search feature here and see what has been written on a similar item here.

You can wait forever here, if no one has used GEEXBOX!

While you wait, yoiu can install and use the alternative you found.

yes ,i am going give a try on some other tiny mplayer distro .

There is a long thread. Search Mplayer working on the xo. It works great.

You misunderstude, i am not speaking about installing mplayer pkg on OS but installing OS based on mplayer.
i need superfast MPLAYER ONLY on XO

I doubt that you can have super-fast anything on the XO. Specially video/streaming, one of the most CPU intensive apps.
However my best guess would be to install DebXO-base on the XO NAND or an external USB. Forget GUI. Connect a USB-to ethernet adapter and forget wifi too. Use the terminal to install MPLAYER and the required libraries with "apt-get install mplayer-nogui". Learn to control MPlayer from the command line.

thanks for idea but controling Mplayer in command line will not be fun or easy.
was posible to install with any simple gui ?

so i think it is possible to install elisa or any alternative user interface?
