I agree with GeoLeoX. My donation date was 08-Dec, at which point my Paypal account was debited for $447.71 CAD

After that, nothing.

On Dec 31st I sent an inquiry, realizing that their site never asked me for anything beyond access to Paypal. The robot mailer replied within minutes that they would get back to me within the next few days. Since then, nothing. A big black hole.

The catch is that when you do phone one of the various telephone numbers mentioned here in the forums, the robotic attendant says that there is only a thirty day window after your donation date to complain. Paypal allows 45 days before it is too late to rescind a payment for something you don't receive.

What's a poor trusting Canadian to do? No matter how busy a company might be, usually payment in full should be worth an acknowledgement that something will happen, someday. There's trusting and then there's me...

Have hope, young Jedis.

I donated Dec 27th or so.  All I got was a paypal receipt.  When I called the customer serivce a few days ago (there is a long wait, but if you have speaker phone, just turn it on and do something else) they gave me a confirmation number and told me my XO was released to shipping!  I hadn't expected to even see it until Feb or so! 


I don't have mine yet.  But it is moving this direction, methinks.

I received my XO on Maui a day or two after Christmas. However, I wasn't counting on it as a gift, so no worries.

I'm really impressed by the system. The wireless subsystem *really* pulls in the links.

To thepete, I don't know which package ongre08 is using, but I don't think the xo's hardware has the beans to run a radio program automation system, the lack of an ethernet port is a deal breaker, and the keyboard won't take that kind of abuse for long. I think I know which station it is, so I'll contact them directly to see if they're still in need of a regular PC.

CMholm, actually for about $30 (or cheaper) you can buy a USB-to-ethernet adapter that works on the XO.  Mike Lee tried out the Linksys one and says it works fine. As for the keyboard, only time will tell--but the XO is supposed to be more durable than your average lappie.

It turns out that I have a Linksys usb nic on hand. I'll try plugging 'er in to see if the XO recognizes it at boot up.

i got confirmation number and it's january 15 , still nothing in the pipe line
nobody repy to email either, got auto repy but never anything else though they promise somebody will get back to me in 3 business days more like never to me   

if they can not keep promise to donor, i wonder how are they handling the donations
