Check out what Mike Lee done did with his iPhone - he put Sugar on it!

Okay, so he is using some form of emulation - Mocha VNC - but its still a cool photo/trick.

VNC is not really what I would call "emulation", wayan.

I think this is a pretty neat demo and I might just steal the idea to grab people's attention at the next presentation I'll give about OLPC / Sugar... ;-)

It's not difficult to show _anything_ on iphone screen using remote desktop such as VNC (you can even show Vista Aero, Compiz Fusion and other extreme cases if you can tolerate low frame rate) -- but it hardly demonstrates anything. It doesn't mean that software can run on iPhone, and it's usually impractical -- iPhone screen has low resolution, nothing can be accomplished without excessive scrolling (and $deity forbids, application has its own scrolling), remotely running applications don't support iPhone touch input...

Oh, I'm well aware of the limitations of VNC but still see a potential here, e.g. when demonstrating an XO and instead of leaning over it to show off something simply wiping out my iPod touch and starting activites, showing the frame , etc. that way.

Looks like OS 656 might look better on the IPhone!
