Opera on Teapot's Ubuntu 8.10 - best way to install

Can anyone advise how to install Opera on Teapot's Ubuntu?
Following the instructions at help.ubuntu.community/OperaBrowser I tried first adding the Canonical intrepid partner repositories; then added the Opera repository. But in both cases on attempting to install with apt-get I receive message:
Code:
Package opera is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package opera has no installation candidate
What's the best way to install Opera?
Thanks.

Go to http://www.opera.com/download/index.dml?platform=linux and download the Ubuntu 8.10 version on your desktop. Double-click on it. Done! (ok..., also follow some on-screen instructions :-)

(If you want Flash, get an XO-1.5 running OLPC 11.2.0 or XOpup Grin )
