I used deep suspend on my XO for the first time yesterday, having upgraded to 8.2.0 the day before from 656 (which lacked suspend capability).

At the time, I had an Abiword activity open (see my thread elsewhere in this forum re: Abiword capability with 8.2.0).

I thought I would save time by not having to boot the XO and bring up a word processor during a meeting. What I discovered was that theXO refused to write anything. It wouldn't write to either USB stick that I tried, nor would it write to its own SSD.

As the file in question was a set of meeting minutes, I couldn't afford to lose the file contents. So I wound up leaving the XO on, with Abiword open, until I got home. There, I have internet access so I could copy/paste and email the file contents to myself.

I have since powered down the XO and rebooted, and it's perfectly happy to write to my USB stick. So my suspicion is that the suspend process was the source of the problem.

Is this a known bug with suspending the XO?

Hi!  I don't see that exact thing with Write mentioned in http://wiki.laptop.org/go/OpenBugs_8.2.0  What about submitting it to them?
