Im really digging on 8.2.0 Ive posted some hacks to the interface Ive dont but besides those Im using it stock. The program updates thing is nice, getting activities for the last few rcs has been annoying since browse and xo-get didnt come on it already. I like pretty much everything about it. Except how long it takes for something to pop up when you hover over it. Anyone know how to make the context menus open faster?

I've noticed that when you un-cripple Write (by renaming the keymapping file), the "Adult-safe" word processor is rather more (like a factor of ten!) unresponsive to keystrokes than the "Kid-safe" one.

Grampa,

What you could do instead of deleting that file (and then have other programs complain about it), is move it away (say, up one level) when you want to play mplayer or other tools that don't work it, and then move it back when you want to run Activities that do require it.   If the XO can't find it in its standard location, it won't go looking elsewhere for it.  You could also add a readme.txt file to that location to remind yourself where you moved it.

Love it!  And the upgrade process couldn't be easier.  I've had zero problems and find it's a much better usable package than before.

Cheers!

Thanks. Actually, it's an empty file, so all you have to do is "touch" the filename to create it. It should be pretty easy to make a script to do that, but not if the goal is to run everything within Sugar.

I have been using 767 for a long time, I tried the new build and could not connect to the wifi.

switched back to 767 and it connects straight away.

I will stick with 767, as it works great for us.
