I am going to re-post this here, didn't know how to move a post.  It might fit in both catagories though.

How about making a magnetic XO logo with laptop.org across the middle?  Just like they have the ribbons for EVERYTHING on everyones cars.  It would spread interest and possibly create enough buzz to encourage open public consumer sales.  They could send them out with all G1G1 sales or open it to the public to purchase.  I am sure that there are more people out there that would buy one but not be able to buy the xo right now (myself included).  I really think that this would be a great marketing idea and a way to increase public awareness.

I wish OLPC would release the vector images for the XO and OLPC itself. I know they're probably worried about unscrupulous (or commercial) use of them, but it would make it possible for those of us who want to create publicity images for submission to OLPC (like bumper stickers & Ts & such) much easier.

I've hesitated to make anything yet because I want the XO brand to stay sharp and focused. And if we all start doing riffs on the brand/image then it waters down the significance of the brand.

Maybe if there was a contract that volunteer designers could sign (promising not to use the XO/OLPC images except for submission to OLPC), OLPC might release the images. Does anyone know who at OLPC to contact about this?
