wow!
I'm far away from any relaible web for some time, but this is super!
Can you norrow it down maybe?
I have the feeling that udev might be the key here, though in Lucid proper you also need to reinstall alsa to get sound going.
In the mean time I got power management and brightness/sound(?) keys going. Check pyppu forum for more.

XO-1: Is never going to run Flash, but is certainly flashy!
(If you want Flash, get an XO-1.5 running OLPC 11.2.0 or XOpup Grin )

potty web or not I had to try this Grin (thank Good I had the repos downloaded and processed)
I had a Lucid Puppy with all alsa files and scripts as well as libasound removed.
To this I installed from Ubuntu-lucid-main just
Code:
udev_151-12
linux-sound-base_1.0.22
alsa-base_1.0.22.1+dfsg
alsa-utils_1.0.22
alsa-tools_1.0.22
libasound2_1.0.22
Then added
Code:
alsa reload
alsaclt init
in /etc/rc.d/rc.local and sound is just fine!
Thank you anna.
Now XOpup is really usable and is Ubuntu Lucid too!
