Well, the l'il green machine arrived. It feels quite strange. The rubbery keyboard with tooth-sized stiff buttons. The sharp yet fuzzy screen (I'll have to try some known images out on it to really understand). The operating system itself is surprisingly unintuitive for me, but there's always a brutal "you are dumb" set of experiences as you get to know a computer OS.

My daughter was beside herself with excitement about the laptop. She's going to love it- as soon as she learns to use the touch pad.

Anyway, I have joined the club. I'm in northeast Illinois, by the way.
