Has anyone painted their xo yet? Is anyone planning to? Also does anyone know of any good solutions to painting the ears short of fabbing new parts?

I imagine vinyl dye or Krylon's spray paint for plastic would work well for the body of it.  There's some info about painting on rubber around the internet.  A quick googling gives http://www.letterhead.com/ubb-cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=007608;p=0 as an example.

I was planning on following the scheme of my XO colours (dark blue and blue), as well as a dark grey. Three tones could cover all exposed surfaces nicely, and disassembling it makes it pretty straight forward to decide what to cover.

The green/white distinctive colouring is nice, of course.

For tips on painting or vinyl dyeing, I'd suggest PC case mod forums and related websites. You have to be a little careful with the vinyl stuff as you'll melt your surfaces a little bit (many small applications are desired rather than fewer heavy ones).

there are paints made specifically for rubber/vinyl -- like rubber bumper paint, from the auto parts store...

I used to dye my Lacrosse heads with R.I.T. Fabric die. I know it wont work on the green pieces, but I think it may work on the white ones. Any opinions? I have to take appart the xo again due to a miss aligned keyboard (from a diy sticky keys repair), so why not make it into a weekend project.
