Keyboard issues

I was on XoIRC this morning and while I was talking, my keyboard keys seem to have remapped.  Most of the letters don't type out anymore, but rather issue commands.  "p" goes to another activity, "r" rotates the screen, and none of the buttons on the XO-1 monitor works anymore.  The keyboard works as it should when I reboot up until I connect online.  Once I get online, everything swaps again.

Does anyone have ideas on what the issue is here?  It seems as if the "alt" button is stuck or something, but it's not physically stuck.  Does anyone know how to reset the keyboard?

Thanks.
