I'm trying to focus my installs on only XO activities to see how far I can go before I run into something that just really doesn't work.  So far, mostly good (except for some fixes which the ever-just-over-the-horizon Update.1 should fix

I was trying yo use meebo.com as a hosted chat solution through my browser for a while, but it was just too heavy of a web page.

I switched to using the IRC activity in concert with Bitlbee, which is an IRC->IM gateway (it supports all the major IM systems except for skype).  It is working great so far.

You folks who installed pidgin -- how's that going?

It was going great until I had to reinstall and now I can't get the Network Manager RPM to download.

For the record, I modified /home/olpc/Activities/XoIRC.Activity/xoircactivity.py to go to im.bitlbee.org instead of freenode and commented out the olpchelp channel line to streamline my bitlbee IMness.
