I got a bag from my uncles old military stuff after he died and this shoulder bag fits the xo exactly. the ears are a bit dirty now, but it fits like a charm. Im thinking of sewing a pocket into it to fit my portable hdd in so it doesnt get to beat up at the bottom of the bag. Anyways, its got two large pockets that are the exact width of an xo, and is made of canvas. Hit up your local army surplus before you buy anything expensive. They may have exactly what you need.

A strap idea if you dont want to carry it in a bag is to head to an outfitter and get a daisy chain. I dont mean Sports Authority or those big box sports stores, youll have to find a real outfitter. A daisy chain is a piece of climbing gear that is made of a piece of tubular webbing sewn into loops. The webbing should hold to about 11 kn which is ~2475 pounds of force.Mine is made by Metolius though other companies make them as well. Mine was about $13. Youll also need a carabiner. You can get a nice one at the outfitter (I recommend oval ones) for about $5 that has a breaking strength near the daisy's (anywhere from 13kn to 27kn on average though I have a steel one thats rated 55kn and weighs a ton). Or you can use a keychain carabine but they break at around 70-80 pounds of force. I tested one once by tieing in with it and jumping at about 20 feet up. It broke and I fell a long way onto some pads I set up Tongue.

Anyways, you can larks foot one end to one of your xo's handle holes and then stick the other end through the other handle hole and clip that end to one of the loops on the daisy. Its easy to adjust the length like with this strap and it has other uses as it is very strong. I trust my life to the one I got as a strap. Its literally supported me 70 feet in the air on a rock face.

Daisy: http://www.metoliusclimbing.com/daisynyl-spec.htm This is the same as mine.
Biner: http://www.omegapac.com/opo6.html This is the same as mine.
Larks Foot: http://www.chockstone.org/TechTips/GirthHitch.htm Its just putting the end loop through the hole and sticking the other end though and pulling tight.

Oops, put this on wrong thread:
Only problem is that a Wii bag makes the laptop more desirable to take. I use a small bag with a union logo -- no one wants it ;-)
