Why did they have only two weeks to put that together?  Wasn't G1G1 announced at least a month ahead of the start date of 11/12?  Wouldn't most organizations, non-profits included, give themselves more than two weeks to orchestrate such a well-pubicized event?

Oh, and I do hope that most people won't give Brightstar/Patriot a free ride because they donated their services--it's a write-off for them and very good publicity (or it COULD have been anyway).

no, that was certainly not my intent.  my point was only that it's harder to ride roughshod over someone that's doing you a favor (tax breaks and writeoffs aside).  not to mention that OLPC would hardly want another public falling-out with a partner...
