Chat betwen XO and Nintendo DS?

Is it gauche of me to ask this? With ours being the only XO in the neighborhood (maybe even town), I was wondering if there is an activity planned or developed that would allow the XO to chat with Nintendo DS systems in the vicinity?

I don't think there are any plans for this right now, because the DS uses a proprietary method of connecting to chat with other DS'. In order for us to communicate with them, we would have to know how to send information to them. There is effort by another community to decipher communication, but I'm not sure how far they've come.
